So here is what Hayley did tonight:
1. Pulled my mascara out of my purse & brushed her hair & Hannah's hair with it.
2. Poured (not spilled) her 'big-girl' cup of juice on her tray & mopped it up with her sandwich
3. Threw the soggy piece of bread on the floor.
4. Pulled a box of bandaids out of the drawer and stuck them all over the floor.
5. Threw her peaches at me. and the bowl.
6. Said to her Dear Sweet Auntie Tara Joy: "NO! I don't want to talk to her!" (She WAS in a time out for the above Peaches-incident... understandably cranky).
7. Then she wrapped her arms around my thigh & said, "I love you mommy, I love you."

SO, I'm keeping her - for now, anyway.

The Wall, part 2.

so, I invested $10 in a roll of velcro & got Hannah's name on the wall. It stayed up for 5 days now!

This means I have to invest another $10 in velcro for Hayley's name. I think I am going to put 6 holes in the wall for that. I think $20 is a little much for the names on the wall. I have nails. Someday we'll have to putty the holes, but I'll tackle that when it happens. I just have to be sure where I want her name first!!

Grown Up Baby

Last night, I think Hannah said her first "Real" word! Hayley & Hannah were in her crib playing and I took Hayley out & Hannah said "HaaayEeeeeee" SO, I said, "Hannah... say Hayley." And she said, "Hayeee". Then later on, Hay walked by & she looked at her and said "Hayeee"
And again today! Oh My! She's been doing the "Mamamamama" and "Dadadadada" for a while, but this is the first 'other' word. HOW COOL!?

I'll post a pic or two later. I was just excited about that!

Do you like the wall?

I FINALLY hung up the names last night. I have had Hayley's since March 2006. Hannah's since August06... anyway, I got inspired by someone on my message board to use VELCRO of all things, so I don't have to punch 16 holes in the wall (approximately 2 holes for each of Hannah's letter & one for Hayley's...)

So, I did it!

But at midnight, Tim came in and said they all fell down. I guess I need more velcro per letter. I used a skimpy little piece per letter... Maybe a better quality since I used $1 rack/JoAnn Velcro... Off to Depot I go to get more heavy-duty stuff.

Our Endless Mess

So, first of all, our place was nice and 'clean' when I came home. I went to the bathroom & heard a 'plastic-baggy' sound. Then Hayley came in and said "Mommy, I gave Hannah Cherrios!

So, Hannah was IN HEAVEN. She rolled around, giggggling, smashing handfuls of cheerio's into her mouth as fast as she could...
So, I pulled the vacuum out, and sucked the Os up.
Then, I was doing some typing & heard the familiar plastic bag sound. Hannah had rolled under my desk-chair & grabbed the bag of AppleJacks that I was munching on. RRRrrrr.
So, then, I was making Hannah's supper & heard a crash. The "Purple Pig" (bank) flew off the top of the garbage can & smashed in half... creating THIS:
A pool of pennies. Well, Hayley thought it was funny that the Purple pig was in two. Hannah was DYING to get in that pool & shove those round shiney things in her mouth.

I LOVE PARENTHOOD!

Minnehaha Falls

We attempted to take Hannah to the Falls to take her 9 month pictures.

I quickly learned:
1. Hannah was distracted by anything and everything - including ants, grass growing, birds flying behind her, the rushing sound of the river, people walking 3 blocks away... what else?
2. Hannah enjoys eating grass.
3. Hannah does not enjoy the sun shining in her eyes.
4. Hannah has grown immune to mommy saying "Hannah, look over here."
5. Hayley is no help.
6. Going to the park to attempt 9-month photos was a baaaaad idea.

Visiting the National Cemetery

We took the girls to visit their Great Grandpa & Grandma Lundquist at Fort Snelling. While we were there we also found Great Great Grandpa Bormes! I am guessing that GGUncle Bob visited, because there were some flowers stuck in the ground next to Grampa Bormes's headstone.
Hayley found that there was a LOT of space to take off running... and she also found that while mommy might have a few extra pounds on her - she can still run faster.

(The one to the right is GGGrampa Bormes... his letters aren't very visable since he passed away in 1954...

TGIF

This morning, when I left for work, I locked the door, heard Hayley scream "MOMMMY!"

Then, I heard the deadbolt turn, the door opened & she ran down the hall after me - screaming.

She never cares that I leave in the AM. She's usually glued to DORA or DIEGO or PONIES!

She has never actually opened the door & ran out before. She has opened the door & turned the lock - but only when we leaving & I ask her to.

I guess we will install that chain this weekend (esp. since tim sleeps... comfortably;))...

Today

I discovered a web-site and made a digital scrapbook for Tim for father's day. I don't really think he even knows about this blog, so I feel free to place the link to the book here!

It is precious. The best thing is that the person who told me about the website also told me about the free book code, so I was able to make a FREE 20 page scrapbook! It took almost all night because it was hard to select a few pictures. EVEN HARDER to find pictures of Tim with Hannah... I guess #2 does get the shaft!! I have a ton of pics of him with Hayley (even lately) but for some reason I have a million pictures of Hannah sitting by herself... I wonder if our work schedules have anything to do with us never being together to TAKE pictures together... Hmmm.

Okay... GOOD NIGHT. I have a head acke :( BOO!
